voice note with one button

i've got Note everything which i like but can be a pain when i need to record a voice note when I'm driving. is there an app where i can just have the icon (is that what's called a widget?) on my screen, touch it and have it record?

You don't need a separate widget to do this; that functionality is built in.

Long press on an empty area on your home screen, and in the 'Add to Home Screen' window that pops up, select 'Shortcuts'. In the 'Select shortcut' screen, scroll down to where it should say 'New Note' (make sure it has the Note Everything icon), and select that. You'll get a popup where you can select 'New voicenote'. You'll be prompted to select the default folder where the voicenotes will be stored, and whether you want the recording to instantly start (you want to say 'yes' here).

That's it. You should now have a shortcut on your home screen. Touch it and start talking (oh yeah, you will have to press the stop button when you're done). Works great.
