Voice to Text option

I just switched from Galaxy S6 to the Pixel 2. While driving last night (I know I really shouldn't do this) I was trying to send a text to my gf and was looking for the voice to text option on the keyboard and found nothing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Next to the space button on the left is a globe. If you press that button, more options pop up and you can pick the Google speech assistant .

Go to Settings > System > Languages & input > Virtual keyboard > Gboard > Preferences and enable the Voice input key option and you'll then get a microphone icon which appears next to the predictions/corrections row.

I found it! I must have just overlooked the little mic in the top right corner of my keyboard. I feel silly for asking this
