Voicemail Icon Won't Disappear

Py_ralis

Lurker
I've searched around for advice on this but either I've already tried it or it doesn't work with the phone I own. I have an LG Exalt LTE, and the voicemail icon won't disappear. It keeps saying that I have 2 voicemails when I really don't. and it's starting to bug me.

I'm assuming that you switched carrier since the notification came up, because if not you would just press on it and listen.

Try the following:
Go to settings>apps> click on the menu and select 'show system apps' >phone app (all three)>storage>clear data.
(That will delete your phone log and voicemail but not your contacts)

If the above doesn't work please let us know what you tried so we don't suggest the same thing

It doesn't look like I can access the data for the voicemail, although I appreciate the idea. I've also already tried to leave myself a message and delete it, and I can't delete the notification.

So when you delete data of the phone app, nothing happens?

Sorry, don't know much about flip phones.
Your phone doesn't seem to be running on Android os, that's where i got confused cuz this is an Android forum
