Help VoiceMail Indicator always ON

Hello,

New Google ION v1.5 user. I have a problem, on the local gsm network, no matter if I clear out my voicemail inbox, and delete all messages, I still get the message waiting indicator at the top in the notifications/status bar.

Also, after deletion of VM from the inbox, I get a blank sms message. I am assuming that this is an operator derived message telling the fone what is going on in the inbox but the device seems to not recognize the sms from my carrier.

Carrier is BTC Bahamas, GSM, device is Google ION unlocked.

All other aspects of Android v1.5 are super and spot on with the iPhone as far as I can tell.

That's something you need to talk to your carrier's tech support department. Sounds like your phone is not receiving the update on voicemail status, or not understanding it. I'd call them up.

I had that same issue on a normal flip phone one time.. its not an issue with the phone its with the carrier. give them a call they just need to reset your mail box..
