Voicemail is being saved wrong

Lurker
Galaxy S6 ... it came with an app called Voice Recorder, which I do need to use, but infrequently. In the last couple of months, however, any VOICEMAIL left by a caller winds up being stored (and accessible from) that Voice Recorder app, and not where voicemail messages are SUPPOSED to be found.

Any way to fix this? Thanks........

It could be that the voice recorder is superseding(Priority) over the original place the voicemail should be.
Do a test: Clear Cache/Data to the voice recorder app and disable it,And have or use another phone and leave a message on you number.
And see if it is now stored in your voicemail app like it should be.

Edit: Also Force Stop it.

AMOCO............. I've done what you've suggested ... thanks. Since the problem didn't happen EVERY time, I can't say for sure that it's fixed, but two test calls were made, and neither of them went to the wrong place. I turned OFF three switches in the Voice Recorder app that might have been the problem: "Draw over other apps" ... "Modify system settings" ... and "Allow background data usage." Won't ever know why this was NOT a problem for the first couple of years, and don't know why, recently, it was happening only SOME of the time. But for now ... let's say it's fixed. THANK YOU for your help!
