i want to take the voicemail service off my phone , i dont want anyone to be able to leave a voicemail

Dial in to your voicemail service, and go into the settings menu. Listen to the options available and see if there are any that will allow you to disable the mailbox.
If not, the next step is to call your provider and ask them if it can be turned off.
