Help Volume control for texts

Is there a shorter way to change the notification volume for incoming texts?
It is a four step process (which is a huge pain I think).
1. Settings
2. Sound
3. Volume
4. Notifications

My old phone (Samsung fascinate) had an option "use incoming call volume for notifications" which obviously allowed me to change the volume of both the ringer and notifications using the rocker button on the side of the phone. Quick and easy!

Audiomanager widget can reduce steps to 2

I can't beat 2 steps but I can do 3 without an additional app

Press the volume button, then the settings button to the right of the volume window, then slide the relevant slider up or down.
