Help Volume is extremely low on the Arc

Hi,

Since buying the xperia arc s a couple of weeks earlier, I am facing a couple of issues.

1) The volume is extremely low on the arc s especially when watching movies/listening to songs. Even at max volume it is not loud enough.
Tried the same sehneizer headphones on my cousin's samsung galaxy s2 and the output is 100 times better than my phone.
Do some settings need to be tweaked for this?
I already have the maximum volume in the settings tab.

Also when travelling I am not able to pick up the phone call on the headphone supplied with the phone. Is there some setting that I need to change so that I can speak on the headphones?

I have one too i think this is because most headphones dont work with xperia. so the best for the xperia is one of sonys headphones

After reading the comments about the volume I thought I would try some music on my ARC S. I am fairly deaf and wear hearing aids but the volume was nearly head splitting. I plugged in my Senheisser in ear headphones first, turned the volume full up and had to knock it down quick. I then tried the headphones supplied with the ARC S and the result was the same , although the quality was not as good.
Are you playing MP3 format music?
