Help Volume problem on S7

I'm having a problem with my volume going way down for almost anything on the phone. The alarm won't sound loud enough to hear it, and I can't hear the directions on the GPS. If I check the sound levels under settings, all 4 are up all of the way. The only way I've found to bring the volume back up is to restart the phone. Anyone else had this problem, or know what the solution is?

When this event occurs, what happens when you turn the volumes all the way down and then all the way back up?

I haven't tried that. The next time it happens, I will.

Turn off sound alive and equalizer on your phone and see if this helps

Thanks for the suggestion. I found the sound alive settings. The equalizer is set to "normal" and there isn't an "off" choice. All of the buttons under the dials are on "off". I don't know what I can change.
