Help Volume Question For Droid RAZR Maxx

Okay so Normally on my RAZR Maxx when I use the Volume rocker the screen pops up with a little volume picture to show where the volume is at. But now nothing pops up on the screen but the Volume rocker still works. So how do I get it back?:confused::confused:
