When I have the equalizer active, and I change songs, the volume spikes massively and then goes back to normal. This all happens in under a second after starting a new song.
I've seen quite a few posts complaining about this in Spotify (eg https://community.spotify.com/t5/An...G-BUILT-IN-EQ-PLEASE-FIX-URGENTLY/td-p/376594), but I've also seen replies saying this is caused by Android's built-in equalizer. I've had this happen with other audio apps on my phone too, so it's definitely not just Spotify.
I'm using a Sony Xperia Z5, Android 7.1.2, LineageOS, but Google digs up posts on various forums from people with all sorts of phones complaining about the issue. I haven't seen any solutions, but I thought I'd try asking myself just in case.
If I disable the equalizer the problem does go away, but I'd really like to be able to use it. Are there any fixes/workarounds for it?
