VPN app?

Hi all, first start-up post here...

...is there a VPN app for Android yet that does NOT requiring rooting? I won't be messing around with my new Incredible on that level (I know enough to know I would probably just screw something up...) so I would be looking for your standard download-and-go app here.

(secondary question, doesn't VZW charge extra for Exchange email support...like $10 on top of your data plan?)

The Nexus One has a built in VPN facility (under Wireless Networks). I've not tried it but it offers the choice of PPTP, L2TP, L2TP/IPSec PSK, L2TP/IPSec CRT VPN connections.

Yes VZW charges extra for corprate E-mail/Exchange support, 15$

I haven't ever found anyone who could figure out why you need it though :P

you should be able configure your phone to connect to your Exchange server directly, or with the help of your IT department... That's what most people do :)

thanks guys, thats kind of what i thought.

codemonkey, do you know if this native support exists in the Incredible as well?

And a remote desktop client?

Droid has the same VPN capabilities, but I can unfortunately report that it doesn't support the Cisco VPN that my company and one of our clients use or the Juniper (SSL) VPN that another of our clients uses.

No idea I'm afraid - if someone would like to buy me one I'll find out for you :D.
There might be a user manual knocking around on HTC somewhere - worth a search or two perhaps?
