Help VPN doesn't seem to work

I'm trying to access my VPN connection through my Galaxy S3 but when trying to connect through PPTP it just seems to timeout despite being able to connect through my desktop. Anyone know if this is a bug and VPN doesn't actually work or if I need to do something specific?

Same issue here. Using Android 4.2 on Google Nexus 7. Server is Windows 2008 R2 using PPTP and MS-CHAP V2 (I know, security issues). VPN connects fine from PC but will not connect from device. I can ping the VPN server from the device.

Are there any device tools (non-rooted) or logs to help with this. It makes the Android device fairly useless not to be able to access Windows servers.

Haven't tried since ics but my vpn certainly worked fine. Vpn to my linux box.
