VZW is on top of things

I just now got this text:

Free VZW Msg: As mandated by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, you are receiving this free message. The Galaxy Note7 voluntary recall has been expanded to include this Galaxy Note7. It can overheat and poses a safety risk. Please power it down immediately. Please visit us at go.vzw.com/note7faq to exchange the device or receive a refund.

Do they not realize that I've already turned in not 1... but both Note7's? I like how this text says "this Galaxy Note7" though I'm reading on on my S7.

I'm gonna have to have check our bills now to make sure that both of my phones were credited properly. Since this is a company phone, I don't always pay attention, the main IT guy does, so I'll also mention this to him.

I don't know why I'm surprised though. Samsung and many carriers, especially VZW can't seem to keep track of who is still using them and who isn't. Doesn't seem like it's that hard to figure out.

On another rant, I'm just so sick and tired of all this. I really just want them to deactivate every Note7 if they're really that worried about it. Then we can end this nightmare once and for all!

Classic.

Hey, I turned in both the original N7 and the replacement N7 and paid full price for the phone and still can't get verizon to refund my money (I paid cash!) and I got the same message this morning on my Moto X!

I got that text yesterday. Probably the 5th one. They don't care and they are not going to deactivate phones. The carriers are the only losers if people defect from them to another because people are pissed off.

Koki, you mean to tell me that they STILL haven't refunded your money, that they insist on crediting your account that much? You need to be on the phone with a supervisor's supervisor... or DM Verizon Wireless in Twitter. I've had decent success with companies on social media.

I'm on the phone with them again even now. Still getting absolutely nowhere. I have never been sorrier in my life for my habit of staying debt free.

yeah, I try to stay out from under the hands of the Interest Mongers myself....
the one time I went on contract for a phone was with the HTC One M9 that we have, it is just now 12 months old, the digitizer is broke, and HTC says it was out of warranty before we bought the damn thing!!!
Verizon says it is HTC's place to warranty the damn phone.....

I think that I am going to have a new talk with Verizon tomorrow.

Never be sorry for being debt-free! We love it!

We have one credit card, and one ONLY. We put absolutely everything on the card, get 1.5% cash back, and pay off the whole thing every single month. With no balance carried over, we pay no finance charge. VISA pays US to use the card! They hate us :D

They think they know what happened finally. Whether that means they will get my refund rolling now they can't say. It seems that I bought the first N7 on pre-order and paid it off (cash in store) before the first recall. Then the recall hit and I called and had the second phone shipped to me. They charged me as though for another 2 year contract for it and told me to take the first phone to a local store for refund. The local store took the phone back but couldn't refund as I had paid cash so they promised I would get a check in 2 weeks which I would then use to pay off the replacement phone. Only they didn't include the tax in their refund so I called Verizon to ask about that and they cancelled the check and zeroed out my payment. All would have been fine except then the second recall hit and I returned the second phone. They have acknowledged it's receipt but their system thinks that they don't owe me for it as there was a zero balance on my account and it thinks they have mailed me a check for the first one. They now have to show where they never drafted a check or a credit to my account and I will hopefully get my money. What a snarl!
