Help vzw S3 shuts off

im on my second s3 in less than 2 weeks. what it does ...... it lights up the menu and back arrow after pushing the side or home key to wake up(lights run normal duration) but no screen or wake up and it is game over. have to pull battery and put back for phone to work. im considering the maxx hd..... i cant figure this out pls help and thanks in advance. i have several apps from the market and dont have a clue if it is one of them. is there a list of known malicious apps from the market? im using all the same apps i had on my charge. i got the phone for more ram but it is turned into a major hassle

i apparently can not navigate this site. can you direct me to that forum. I have the 32gb model. i have also been able to verify that that the phone only shuts down when i use the lock screen. thanks in advance for any help
