Wait, or Captivate?

Hey guys,

I'm on AT&T right now, and my old BlackBerry pearl is on it's last leg. I'm wondering if I should just pick up the Captivate now, or wait a few months for something else? I haven't heard any mind-blowing Android announcements for AT&T, so idk. Thoughts?
 
I would jump on captivate.

Great phone, lots of support for it in the community.

Captivate is current and would probably get you through two years without you going "MAN THIS PHONE SUCKS AND IS UNDER POWERED BAAWWW"

waiting a few months means that at&t is going to come out with nothing impressive.. and by then.. it will be "well should I get captivate.. or hold out for hummingdragon(made up snapdragon hummingbird dual core processor).
 
Same kinda question for me. Any reason not to get the Captivate right now? Anyone know of any other android phones that are coming to AT&T? My only thing is that it has to be at least a 4" screen like the Captivate.
 
I think I'll be picking it up tomorrow. Still looks like either Wirefly or Target....since I think they're using the same people to do their wireless sales. That is unless Best Buy can beat their prices. And who knows....Best Buy has a Free Friday coming up tomorrow. Maybe it'll be the Captivate.
 
Got my Captivate 2 weeks ago and am loving it. It replaced a very outdated BB Pearl, so it would be impossible for me not to be thrilled with it. But even my iPhone toting friends are jealous, or at least impressed, by my Cappy.
 
I'm on the fence about whether to upgrade to a Captivate. I've read that there's a mystery Motorola Android that's supposed to have a dual core processor and might be offered by AT&T next year. Of course, there are no real specs for that phone, but you have to guess that it will be pretty high-powered with that kind of processor.

That's the thing...there's always going to be a better phone eventually. I want to dive into Android. I know there will be better phones than the Captivate down the line eventually, but why wait? There will always be something better. This is the way of technology.

Well, after admiring the Captivate from afar for several months, I took the plunge yesterday and got one on an upgrade to my existing acct. BTW, the Captivate is available in AT&T stores for $99 right now either on a new line or an upgrade. That was just too good to pass up. Now I'm trying to decide whether to bump it up to the leaked Froyo version yet or wait for the official one from AT&T.
 
Every time someone buys a new phone, an even newer one comes out and people regret not having waited. You're going to upgrade sooner or later. The Captivate doesn't have an FFC nor a physical keyboard, but I doubt that AT&T is going to get something that good until they lose their iPhone exclusivity anyway, so I would either jump ship off of AT&T or get the Captivate.
 
Ok, with the rumors of the Motorola Olympus coming out in January would it be worth waiting for this over the Samsung Captivate now?

From things I have read about people contacting Samsungs tech support and lack-of/miss-information about updates it does not look Samsung is on the ball with customer support/communication. Is Motorola alot better in the customer support/communication arena?
