Walker put Help!

First let me say sorry for me bad English .

What is the point in upgrade walkerpit and walkers? It costs to much. Is it necessary, or can i continue the game without upgrading them?

And the survivors on the outpost, whats the point with upgrading them?

I haven't tried any Zombie games since House of the Dead on PocketPC devices. Do they still swarm you in the first minute of play? I'd pay for an upgrade to prevent that.

Walking dead is actually the first zombie game i try. it is actually very good.

I just dont get Walker Pit and Outpost.
