wallpaper pixelatting on me

I hope I'm posting this in the right section, if not sorry! However, I've been making wallpapers left and right and had no problems at all with the resolution and etc. However, this last wallpaper I had created for some reason whether it be *.png or *.jpg it pixelates on me? It's driving me nuts! None of my other wallpapers are doing it, but this one. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. When I'm in the cropping screen, it doesn't look pixelatted and even when I do the full image crop instead of downsizing (if that makes sense) it doesn't look pixelatted til after it applies the wallpaper to my phone's background.

Has anyone ran into this problem, and if so how did you fix it?

I use Photoshop 7.0 and Photoshop CS3, here's the screen shot of what the image looks like on my PC compared to what it looks like on my phone:

The PC version, is a jpeg file and I have even tried doing it as a png file as well. Like I said, this is the first time a wallpaper has pixellated on my phone after applying it as a wallpaper. All my other wallpapers load up identical to what you'd see on my PC.

The only thing I'm baffled about though, is all my other wallpapers have no pixellation problems. So that is what I'm very confused about. Not sure why this one particular wallpaper is pixelatting.

I think by resolution, he means the size of the original. For the DInc it should be 960x800 pixels. That said, I think that DPI of 72 sounds a little low. I think most of the wallpapers I've made are 200. I have no idea if it makes much of, if any difference, but have you tried raising it?

I don't see pixelation--but my eyesight isn't great--but lost in gradation of colours. Perhaps the phone can't handle the range of colours? I'm nowhere near an expert though, so hope to hear what others say about this.

Hm, oh well! I'm not too worried about it. LOL

I have changed back to my normal theme because Christmas is over, ha ha. I had it for about a week only, and was good and fine with letting it go finally. HA lol
