Wallpaper resolution problem

Hey all,

I'm trying to find a wallpaper for my Android ellipsis 7 and no matter what one I try it never fits the screen.

I hit the crop button and it seems like the picture fits in the square, but then on the screen it doesn't.

If you understand what I'm saying lol.

I figured this might be part of the problem, because the crop job is so small. So I'm guessing In order to get a 1080 crop you would have to have a higher resolution photo? To make up for that loss is what I'm thinking.
