Help Wallpaper zooming in.

Ok this is annoying me a lot more than it should but how come my wallpaper (720x1280) zooms in on my home screen but not on the lock screen? On the lock screen it is the perfect size and the entire wallpaper is visible but then on the home screen the same wallpaper is zoomed in, why? And can I stop this?

i had this issue on my galaxy note 10.1

i would get wallpaper that fits for the device but then yet it zooms in.

i have no idea why it does it.

yeah this seems to be a common android thing maybe - had it on my desire too - rather annoying - might be reduced if you dont use scrolling wallpaper ?

i had to use an app called Dodol to make wallpapers that fit nicely - not tried it on s3 yet though
 
it's not easy to get a photo to fill full home screen though
with the wizard app I find.always far too as small

what set options is best to use for
a good portrait fit?
I've tried basis crops
