Walmart Family Phone with Tmo sim?

Can I buy a Walmart Family Mobile Phone from Walmart... bring it home and put my Tmobile sim card in it and be up and running just as if I bought a Tmobile phone from Tmobile? Thanks!

Try using this tool 1st:
http://www.willmyphonework.net/

Then read here, there's a minimum time/plan obligation that needs to be fulfilled 1st:
https://www.myfamilymobile.com/Support/DeviceSupport/DeviceSupport.aspx?supporttype=UNLOCK

If you wish,go ahead & buy the phone & try your luck w/unlocking services,YMMV.
If you go this route, might wanna check if unlock codes are available beforehand.
Another consideration regarding unlock codes:
Some carriers have made such 3rd party unlock codes useless w/a new method of keeping the phones locked until you meet the obligations.
T-Mobile & Metro PCS have this,in the form of an app & w/the exception of one mfgs devices ( & root access),the phones have to be unlocked by the carrier, the codes do not work.

A little bit late on my part, but you SHOULD be able to. I've done it a few times to save some cash. Family Mobile uses T-Mobile as its network. I bought the Family Mobile LG G Stylo and use it with T-Mobile. Right out of the box, no unlock required.
