want text to speech for ebooks

Moon+ Reader has text-to-speech. You just have to shake the phone while in the book I believe to activate. It reads Epub among other formats.

Looks interesting, but I have to buy the Pro version to try the speech option. Are there any free ones out there?

I got Cool Reader loaded but can't read an epub ebook I got from the library. I can read the library book with Aldiko, but not Cool Reader. I deleted the file & re-loaded it but still no good. It shows up in the dir listing. If I long press, it shows me stats. But when I tap to read, it just exits Cool Reader.
A friend gave me an epub file (non-library) & I loaded that one & that works fine. I can also read *.doc files. Any ideas as to how to read my library file?
Come to think of it, the library file has some copyright protection on it since it expires in a few weeks. But it's not expired yet. I loaded both files I got from the library (epub & acsm). Maybe Cool Reader can't read library files?

There's also Google Play Books and FBReader. And if you need a good PDF app, there's ezPDF (I like it).
