Good Evening guys

Kindly give me full procedure i am new in android world!

Android needs to be specifically designed for the handset it's being installed on which generally requires a fair bit of work.

With clones/copies, because there are so many variants none of them being majorly popular, dev support is limited and you'll be lucky to find a dev who's willing to work on an unpopular/cheap device.

Your best hope would be to contact the manufacturer and ask if they have any plans to release an updated version, failing that there's not much you can do I'm afraid.

Not what you wanted to hear, but it is what it is.

Wouldn't it be better if you contacted them? I mean you are one of their customers, which none of us are.

Actually are they the phone makers? They say they sell chipsets, which other people may then use to make phones, but I don't see them listing complete phones amongst their products. It's the phone which needs the right software build, not just one component, so it's the phone maker you'd need to talk to.

Ok i contact but there are too many email which one i contact!
The nearest branch contact to you, I guess.

But did you see my edit: I can't see anything on that site that says they make phones, just components which other people can include in their phones, and it's the actual phone maker you need to contact.

To explain the difference, my phone is made by HTC using a chipset from Qualcomm. If I want to ask about software support for my phone I need to talk to HTC - Qualcomm won't be able to help me. And I think this company are component suppliers, like Qualcomm, rather than phone makers like HTC.

Here is the website can you do me a favour by contacting with them!

That's not the manufacturer of your phone. They're a wireless products chipset maker. Contacting them will NOT help you get Kitkat.

"My mobile is S5(copy)"
...which is a fake. The manufacturers of those things prefer to stay very anonymous and do not wish to be found. More than likely they're in Shenzhen, China. But that's about all you're going to get.

here we go again.:)

the last thread was sort of fun watching the language barrier and you guys growing more frustrated by increments.

is it me, or are we seeing more folks buying knock offs and then wanting everyone else to do the work, if that work is even possible?

New member asking for help. We try to do the best we can despite where he/she lives and the language they speak. Perhaps they are using google translate (which sometimes leaves much to be desired :p )

Folks may buy devices not realizing what company they are from, good or bad, and they join here looking for assistance.

Lets try to assist the best we can, and be as polite as we can;)

i have a china phone, i got some help, but i had to dive in and explore and try and err. after more effort and anguish than i care to admit, i finally got the thing rooted. what never able to figure out how to install a custom rom or custom recovery.

it has become somewhat clear to me that doing something to these devices depends on whether the device has a rockchip or mediatek. if rockchip, a search for finless will provide some tools to root and take it to another level. i was able to do so on a pc stick with a rockchip.

for mediatek

my china phone clone runs mediatek. there are mediatek tools available. youtube and google should/might steer the op in the correct direction.

for finless bob/rockchip.....this was simply a search result. but if the op dives in, it might lead to where finless bob hosts his roms and tools.
