Help Want to upgrade my memory card to 16gb, will I lose Android ROM?

Hi all, my first post! hope this isn't a n0oby post but I did a quick search and couldn't find anything...

I bought my san francisco second hand on ebay with the Orange crudware removed and an it has a new version of Android installed (not sure if it's 2.1 or 2.2).

Anyways I want to upgrade my micro SD card to 16gb from the 2gb in their so I can use my San Francisco to listen to music.

It has just occured to me that my new version of Android is probably saved onto the existing 2gb card, so if I swap it I will lose the android ROM currently installed. Is that correct? If so how do I upgrade my card and keep my phone as it is?! :s

Thanks in advance for any advice. :D

P.s. i was planning to get the 16gb class 10 lexar micro sd from mymemory. co . uk. Should work ok?

Android rom is installed on the internal flash memory not on your SDcard.

You can find out what version of android you're using by Settings->About->Android Version
