I was cleaning up a swamp of rice and beans under there the other day and I noticed the right support was not doing its job, which was why I had to hold it up and clean with just one hand. Somebody else tried to put it back, too. How do we get this thing where it belongs and acting as it should?

Warped stove hood support

It would help if we knew what it originally looked like. Other than bending it by hand back into shape I have no idea
You have the other support for a clue. It should hook to the hood and whatever it attaches to for support exactly the opposite as the one that is still installed.

Normally they are straight, that one has bends in it, like olbriar says compare it to the other one an straighten accordingly.
It should be easy to bend by hand, may want to lay it on a flat surface and use a hammer to gently shape it back to where it belongs.
