Hi all,

So today I pulled the trigger and moved away from my Connect 4G and upgraded to a LG Optimus F3. Well about an hour after I got it (and grabbing a bite to eat) I tried to set up my new voicemail (I guess since I'm now on GSM I am on that voicemail system? IDK.) Anyhow the mic wouldn't respond and whenever I tried calling anyone the phone would reboot and I would get a error about some security failure or something. Just a black screen, so I would have to hard reset it.

Long and short I was pissed and walked back to the corporate store I bought it from and they gave me a replacement, which wouldn't accept the SIM card for some reason. So they replaced that as well. Seems I get all the luck when it comes to phones. Anyhow my question is since I've already had the phone swapped am I now under some limited warranty or does my original 1 year still stand?

I've had a few placed tell me that as soon as I swap out a device I'm limited to 15 or 30 days (Frys Electronics, for example) and after that I am SOL.

Thanks for the help in advance!

PS: Love the speed of this thing! I don't think I'll ever use my old Connect 4G as anything other than maybe a netflix device for my kid nieces!

its almost a statistical impossibility that you're getting 2 bad phones unless its a bad batch, which I've only seen happen once since metro started business. The voicemail, when going from CDMA to GSM defaults and changes to the last 4 of your phone number if I'm not mistaken, and in regard to the warranty, I believe it goes with the original purchase date, but a corporate store would be better able to assist you with swapping it out because I know warranty replacement centers can be worse then dealing with a used car salesman.
