Was I the only fool to buy one?

Love My Note Pro but it seems I might be the only one here. I got mine two weeks ago, a black 32 gig unit.

Very cool so far gave my Ipad 3rd Gen to my kid.
 
That device looks very nice and it caught my eye too. I'm looking around now at different devices as I'm coming up for an upgrade:) Might go the tablet route.

So you are liking it so far?
 
I got a black 32 gig Model and added a 64 gig chip yesterday. I really really like this thing a bunch but I think if I were to do it all over again I might go for the 10.1 32 gig model. This thing is really big which is great at times but sometimes I would enjoy losing a little size.

Still the screen is super super impressive. It looks way better then most any laptop I have seen and for movies it is cool. I would usually use buds if I watched a movie on it but when testing it out I was surprised with the great stereo separation from it, something my mono speakered ipad never did.

I got one 2 weeks ago, and I'm really enjoying it. The size, the pen, everything. It only enhances my note 3. Perfect fit for me... and I'm small.
 
got mine a few hours ago and I HATE it! Tried to get info from samsung UK support and they are less than useless. I am sooo disappointed! I really wanted to mave away from apple and the idea of a bigger tablet was fantastic.

I do think mines faulty because it keeps switching itself off when held at the top around the mic area...but that aside.. I have problems with resolution and also aptx doesnt seem to be running as it sounds awful over blutooth.

Am going to start a new thread for the quiestions. Good to hear others like theirs though. I hate apple but Samsung ssem to be a total joke. In UK anyway.
 
I have had like zero problems with it.

I added a Sandisk that claimed with a claimed transfer rate of up to 80 so it would be fast. It works fine.

My original unit was faulty - I sent it back. Had my new one for a day now and now I love it :-) :)
 
I ordered one from Groupon and hopefully it will be here next week, what cases did you guys go with ?
Also the reason this forum is lonely is not to many people can afford the behemoth tablet.
 
Awesome device. I have the Note 10.1 and Note 3 also. I bought the 12.2 after the 10.1 as 10.1 is not big enough for business whereas the 12.2 is perfect. 12.2 benefits versus 10.1....display resolution (beautiful), charging location, USB 3.0 connector and new location from the 10.1, Samsung keyboard storage right onto the 12.2 tablet. Great for movies on the personal side, and awesome for business note taking and presentations on the professional side. 10.1 does benefit from easier to carry around for personal use due to size but the features listed above for the 12.2 are unique to the 12.2 vs the 10.1
 
I've had the Note ro 12.2 4G for a week now - great screen and sound.

BUT:

I much prefer the last version of Android that I had on my Acer Iconia - far more intuitive and responsive.

And I've had several problems with the Note: it won't charge sometimes ( I put it on charge today from about 24% and 6 hrs later it was 5%!)
It won't screen mirror as advertised - tries to connect but then throws up its hands.
Several times it hasn't switched on unless I connect the charger, wait for the charging icon (which might say 75%), disconnect and then it will switch on.
Samsung support seems to be non-existent in most countries, but I will be taking mine back if I can't resolve the problems.
 
I must say that its not worth it until you root it and install multi window manager. After root its hands down the best tablet in the market
 
I just got mine on Saturday and I LOVE IT! BigDonnie mine came with multi window manager where I can have up to four screens open at the same time. Are you talking about something that allows you to do that with all apps?

I just upgraded on Wed. Sold my Note 10.1 for $220. With Verizon plan discount, it's only $10/month for the tablet and $10/month for service.
 
Update: I had to take my first one back after a week due to the nil charging issue, for a new replacement.

The new one will sometimes switch itself off for no reason - I'm still trying to work out if it's a consequence of the case that I've bought for it doing this when open, through the "back' of the unit.

I am very unimpressed with the Samsung bloatware - all sorts of apps on it with little documentation and no way of removing them. And the implementation of Android KitKat is a disgrace - they've made the system just about unusable for things like transferring images and suchlike. If I had wanted to have a locked-down tablet I would have bought an iPad - at least it would have had seamless browsers etc.

Yes, Wilsr, some cases have been known to turn the tablet back off if you fold the back of the case to the back of the tablet. It is the case that is to blame, for not being more carefully adapted to the Pro. My Snugg case never does this, but I have read of other cases causing it. But like I said, don't blame the tablet, the case manufacturer should have made sure its case was compatible.
I have had no probs transferring images from the device storage to card storage using the My Files app. And ditto between the device and an attached 1TB hard drive, or the attached drive and the card storage.
You may want to try the ESS File Explorer app if you want an alternative - it has its good points, and it was free.

Yes, I had come to the same conclusion re. the case switch.

But the file transfer is something else! For example, I recently went on a cruise and put 32Gb of movies onto the "internal' (added) SD card from my PC via cable - they didn't appear on any of the tablet apps so wouldn't play. By putting the same ones onto a USB stick then yes, I could see and play them - but to do so required buying (yet another) cable and adaptor - crazy! Not to mention having a dangling cable, adaptor and USB stick hanging out of the side while trying to balance the tablet on my knees in bed.....

Well again, it cannot be the tablet, for I have transferred many flac music files, and a small number of movie files (in full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution - in .TS format) to my sd card, and successfully played both the music and movie files.
What format are these movies in? Not all movie file formats are recognised by the built-in video player.
Have you tried starting the movies, not by first opening a video player app, but by finding the movie files (on your card) using My Files, then tapping the movie icon? That should offer you the choice of nominating which app to use to play the movie.
If you have not already done so, I would suggest you download the VLC video player (the same player used on many PC's to play videos) as this app (free) will play almost any kind of movie file.

I had half a dozen .mpg videos which I copied from my PC onto the "secondary" 32Gb SD card in the Note Pro - but they do not appear in any of the file management apps, nor do they appear in my preferred player, MX Player.

However they DO appear, and can be played, if I plug a USB stick with them on into the USB port. It's not the format, it's the wretched way that Android has been compromised in v5, preventing the user from doing many things with his files.
