Watch TV shows on my Incredible?

I have an Incredible, and would really like to catch up on TV shows that I miss. I usually use hulu on my computer. I know that CBS has an app, but I don't really watch CBS much. Is there a way I can get ABC/ Fox to work on my phone? I know with 2.2 it will probably work, since it will have full flash... but can I do it now somehow?!?

Until there is a app or mobile website, nope. Hulu actually purposefully blocks mobile phones from accessing their website, because of licensing restrictions that doesn't allow them to show mobile content. Some companies have been slower to adopt mobile viewing than others. So, if they don't have a app or mobile website, there is no way to do it legitimately. Read: There are probably many less than legit sites that aim to do the same thing, but I can't help you with those.

Open the stock browser, hit the menu button and then the more tab. Go to settings and uncheck mobile view. Download the Skyfire browser. I did this and can now watch South Park episodes from southparkstudios.com on my phone.
I'm using Dinc also.

I have another question, but along the similar topic. What if the show/web site you are logged in to watch show requires to open media player as a pop up to watch the streaming video, what is than?
Back in my WindowsMobile days I could install TCPMP player and make it as a default player which was opening every-time web site required media player poped up to play video.

Right now, hulu is blocking all mobile usage including those that has foryo and flash running on it.
I think the only way to get past this is using skyfire. It worked before I had froyo and flash installed on my N1. But now i don't need skyfire anymore.

does that mean that hulu hasnt started blocking froyo yet?

Once the Slingbox App is released (sometime this summer), you can watch anything that you can watch on your tv at home. Downside is you have to purchase a Slingbox (worth every penny IMO) and if you don't want to interrupt what is being watched on one of your TV's at home, you have to have a dedicated cable box for the Slingbox (that is how I have mine set up).

Also, there is the Hava boxes, but I don't have experience with those. There is a user made app on the market that supposedly works pretty well with Hava, and Hava are said to be introducing their own Android app soon as well.

Slingbox.com - Watch Your TV Anywhere with a Slingbox

Are there any websites that I can access using Skyfire that will allow me to watch shows on my Incredible? I don't necessarily need live TV, but to be able to catch up on recent new episodes of tv shows would be great..

Once we're able to get 2.2 on our Incredibles, check this out... There's apparently a pretty easy workaround for hulu

How to get Hulu running on Android 2.2, for now -- Engadget

"all you have to do is make Hulu think you're using a desktop browser, which can be done simply by entering "about:debug" in the address bar and switching the UAString setting from Android to desktop. The only downside to the trick is that you'll now also get the full desktop version of the Hulu site (and any other site, until you switch it back)"

Someone with 2.2 or running flash want to give this a shot and report back? Hulu might have fixed this little trick by now, I dont know..

Thanks for the tip. South Park on my phone :)

@dmodert66 Slingbox is awesome, totally agree. You need to have good upload speed on the network the Slingbox is on though, unfortunately a lot of the US - like where my Slingbox is, has only cable internet as an option which has terrible upload speed. We can upgrade to business class but of course its not very cheap. Waiting for fiber to come to the area....

I just downloaded skyfire on my Incredible and I still can't play a video from NBC.com. I guess NBC restricts any video to be played on a mobile phone. I just don't understand why they allow it on a PC and not a mobile phone.
