Water damage anyone?

I used my phone in the shower for the first time just to listen to music, and that split second it got hit by water my speaker started sounding statically. Has any one else had this issue? Please help.

Try just leaving it to dry for a bit. Speakers being affected by wetting, even in water-resistant phones, is not unknown. I remember that the first water-resistant smartphones (Sony) used to reduce the volume after wetting to avoid damage until the speaker cones dried out, so with any luck it's just a temporary effect.

I've used mine in the rain but i used headphones. Water on the speaker grill could make that static noise.
