Water Damage, "Custom OS" warning

MILD8

Lurker
I have a problem. My phone fell in water. I opened it and tried to dry it. It worked for a few minutes and then this warning message came on about custom OS and it being able to cause critical problems. Well it did! I inadvertently pressed the volume up and it started to download. I tried several times to stop it by taking out the battery and restarting, but it wouldn't go away. The volume down to cancel is not working either.

HELP!!!

Hi @MILD8 and welcome to Android Forums :)

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems. It's pretty safe to say that yours isn't an application-related issue, but rather related to your phone taking a swim, so I've moved your post into a more appropriate section of the forum. It should also get some more eyes on it here. :)

To help you out, we may need some additional information:

What kind of phone is it?

What manner of water did it fall into? (water in the sink, water in the lake, water in the ocean, etc)

How long ago did it fall in the water?

You may also want to read through this FAQ for some helpful tips:
So you got your phone wet... what can you do to try and save it?
