Help Water damage

Hi nelson, have you tried plugging it in to a PC, is it recognised?

What about trying to charge it, does the charging light come on?

Hi, A few hours ago my phone was kind of exposed to water. But within seconds i took it out and tried my best to switch it off but then it got restarted by mistake and then I saw an exclamation mark at the battery bar which was grey in color. Later my phone cudnt be switched off even when i held the power button and kept getting switched on on some boot screen. I kept the phone as it is and came back after a few more hours and plugged it in charging and this blinking red light comes and it only opens on this boot screen directly. When I plugged it to my computer, the computer detects the phone and red, green light flashes. Thats all. What am I suppose to do now. Please help me.

Hi saadspawn,

When an electronic device is wet, you do not want any electricity to be running through it. The water will short circuit the device and damage the components inside.

So normally you should remove the battery immediately after exposure to water. Unfortunately your phone doesn't, as far as I can find by googling, have a removable battery. Some of the users here may be able to advise you on how to take it out. But you should still turn off the device, immediately. Definitely do not attempt to charge the device, or plug it into your computer - you risk short circuiting and damaging your charger and your computer!

Once the phone is powered off, remove any external panels, your sdcard and your SIM card (if you have one). Then place it in a sealed container with some dry rice. The rice will leach any moisture from the air in the container and encourage your phone to dry quickly. You want to leave it several days to ensure that it is bone dry before trying to power it on again.
