Hi All,

The s6 edge was underwater for ~1min. It is not responding to any buttons. When connecting a charger it gets warm but no other signs of life.

What are a chances to recover photos from it and where to look for a help ? aprox price ?
What if data was encrypted (not sure if it was) ?

Thanks
K

Trying to continue using it and then trying to charge it were the two things you should not have done. The first thing you should do in that kind of situation is power it off and leave it that way. (The S6 Edge doesn't have a removable battery but if it did that would be the second thing to do.) Then you should have tried to remove as much excess water as you could and put it in a bag of uncooked rice for a few days. By continuing to make it work again before thoroughly drying it out greatly reduced the chance at restoring your phone in any way. Water and electronic components just aren't a good mix, the moisture allows electricity to flow into places it shouldn't.

As far as recovering your photos, did you have any kind of backup/syncing solution (Google Photos or Dropbox) set up or were you just saving everything to your phone?
