Water damaged X10i

Hi, The screen on my X10 stopped working,it would not respond to touch at all one day out of the blue. I sent it off to be repaired under warranty.
Problem is the answer i got was that its water damaged and not covered by warranty. They attached the picture in the link.
I'm suspicious that the picture is actually my phone. It was working find for months before and stopped overnight.
Does anyone recognise the picture as being from an X10?I have never opened mine up but it looks like a stock photo to me.Any ideas?

Have you done anything to the phone that may cause water damage??

If not, I would contest it. The same thing happened a while back with iPhones. They have sensors in them that detect if they have been water damaged, but these were apparently being activated by things like sweat and condensation...

Phone companies will try anything to invalidate your warranty these days.

Well, they have pics showing the damage, what do you have to prove that's not the case? If nothing, chalk it up as a loss, nothing you can do.

that sux if you did nothing to cause the damage it should of been replaced or repaired no charge. technically they sold you a bad phone that created a problem you couldnt prevent. im pretty sure you have a right to contest. gl with it all
