Water in screen

I have a Pendo Pad 4.0 and managed to get water in the screen when my water bottle leaked inside my bag. The devise works Ok but the screen has a blotchy appearance. I've tried the heat thing, but the moisture can't escape, Is there anyway of dismatling the pad as there are no visible entry devices (eg screws).

You'll probably find it's glued together, i.e. it's not meant to be disassembled. How long did you try heating it for? You could try sealing it in a bag of rice(a desiccant), and leaving it in a warm place, like an airing cupboard for a few days. Cat-litter is a good desiccant as well. This should eventually draw the moisture out of the tablet, after all it's not watertight.

Sorry, I don't think it will be easy to split open and dry.

If I have nothing to lose then I would use a chemical moister absorption agent like Silica Gel or the easier to get "Baking Soda" as it is an excellent humidity absorbent.

It will take a few hours and you may have to repeat this a few times but the idea is to seal the unit in a clear plastic air tight bag with the powder, and leave that in the sun for several hours so the gentle warming can help with moisture suction.

The only thing you can't be sure of is if the affected surface my end up a little stained from the water if that wasn't pure (i.e. lemonade or salty water...etc.)

Oh, remember to cover the front display bezel and trim from the powder, cling film will do that leaving the affected area free to breath.

Good luck.
