Water stains on phone screen

Hey everyone yesterday I was taking a shower listening to music. I had my phone face down on the sink and when I got out the shower I realized my phone had water stains on it. When I saw it I took my battery out for a few hours and then I put the battery back in and my phone was working fine ( even tho there was still water stains on the screen). So I Decided not to mess with it for the rest of the night. This morning I woke up and I saw that my screen was black but my phone was still working (like I could hear that I was still getting emails). I checked the sticker on the battery and saw that it was still white and not red (Because when I went to the T-mobile store today they said that if it was water damaged then the sticker on the batter would have turned red. So now I have my phone in a bag of rice. Should I get a replacement phone or should I see if the bag of rice will still work? Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to fix this

What phone do you have?
Even if it's one that is rated as water resistant I would keep it away from the bathroom and especially the shower as that is just an accident waiting to happen. Even without actual water immersion the high humidity environment is no good for it.
As soon as you suspected that water might have gotten inside you should have pulled the battery immediately (assuming it comes out) and left it out for a couple of days while attempting to dry it out.
The damage may be done at this point, probably time to look for another phone and keep that one away from water. Use a cheap media player in the bathroom or get a waterproof Bluetooth speaker to play music from your phone while it stays in a dry room.

I don't think the water got into the circuitry, but is probably between the digitizer and the LCD. If it comes back on, you're probably going to have a water spot that won't go away. The answer then would be to replace the screen assembly ... or the phone.

sounds like it wicked in, I never recommend people take their phones into the bathroom during a shower...Between water and the humidity levels it's a safe bet to just keep it out of there. The damage is done, screens do not take kindly to water intrusion. Even if it does come back you will have permanent mineral spotting. Screen replacement is going to be the only viable option.
