Weather app

Can a weather app be added to Android for auto? I'm assuming the only way to check the weather now is to unplug the usb connection, wait for the phone to connect via bluetooth, and press the app on your phone. This doesn't seem very safe while driving. Thanks

While connected to Android Auto in your car just push your voice recognition key and ask Google anything you want about the weather.

That's a good answer. I use this app called Weathertap to check the radar which probably shouldn't be done while driving.
