Help Weather App

Does anyone make a decent weather app out there? Ever since Weather Bug stopped working after the froyo update I cant find any that I like.(why wont they update weatherbug!!!!) So what I am looking for is a replacement, with a widget that actually updates the location at regular intervals. Right now I am using the Google weather and news app, weather only, but it does not update every hour like I tell it to. I tried accuweather but it doesn't detect you location, only the location you tell it to get.
So, any ideas?
Thanks,
Charles

I have the Weather Bug app and it works but I'm rooted running Vanilla Froyo... I was happy to see it working so if your rooted try it again...

chas9rr, have you tried using a clock and weather widget like Fancy Widget (Fancy Widget Pro was the Amazon free paid app for the day a few days ago). The Pro version has a choice between Google or Weatherbug while the free version uses Google. Anyway, you can then set Fancy Widget to automatically refresh location and weather every hour or two hours and to set "Use My Location and Use GPS location" instead of setting location manually (which is preferable to conserve battery life). You should then be able to get location based weather every hour or so. It may take some time to get a GPS lock and you may need to use the "GPS Test" app to confirm that you have got a GPS lock and then check the Fancy Widget setting for location to verify that it has a lock for you but once it does, it should bring up the weather for your location (GPS based instead of manual setting). You may want to verify that it updates hourly but I do know that my weather (location set manually) does update every two hours. If I want to check weather immediately, I just tap on the weather portion of the widget (sun or moon or cloud/rain cloud icon) and hit the menu key after the multiple day weather forecast screen comes up and hit refresh to get the latest weather update. BTW, the pro version has several clock/weather widget combinations.

Same for me. I got Weatherbug Elite for free during the Amazon App promotion after we got the Froyo update, and it works fine. The Weather Channel widget was pissing me off and generally sucking after the Froyo update.

For the last few days I have been trying out a new weather widget. Its called "Weather Forecast widget" and i like it. You can select your weather source, and there's 4 different sizes to choose from. It updates at the intervals that you select, but in the free version, it does not update to your actual location. Give it a shot.
