Lurker
Over the past several years I have had a Dell Axim X30, Dell Axim X50V, and a T-Mobile Wing - all running Windows Mobile. I loved them and hated them, depending on what I was trying to do at the time.
I have had my Andoid G1 for almost a month now and I can say, without reservation, that Android beats Windows Mobile hands down - no contest!
Everything "Just Works" !!! Beautiful!!
There are two Apps I do miss though and would really love to see developed for the Android:
1. A weather app for the Home Screen with ANIMATED icons. I used Weather Panel and Juni made animated weather icons. It was So Cool to see lightning strikes, rainfall and snowfall on the home screen. (You could see 5 days).
2. All Audio from phone going to your regular bluetooth headset (the one you wear all day, everyday). I had a program called Bluecast. I could hear music, audio books, etc.. thru my regular headset. I have done a lot of googling and reading and I have found out that if, while on a phone call, you open your media player and start playing music, you can hear it through your regular bluetooth headset. (Not Stereo - just mono)..... and I tried it and it does work. So - to my way of thinking - that means that there IS a pathway there already - some very smart person just needs to figure it out.
Hopefully someone will!!
