Weatherbug Elite Question

Not sure if there is a thread for this already but I'm wondering if Weatherbug Elite is a battery killer or causes serius lag on the Droid Eris? I hear alot of people rave about this app and I'm kinda sick of HTC's stock Sense widget.

The widgets are fines (a choice of 2 or 3 sizes). I find Beautiful Widgets more pleasing to the eye but WeatherBug is more informative. You can always get a refund within 24 hours using the market if you are not satisfied.

No drain on my Sprint Hero. The widget also seems to update whenever I swipe past it. The Sense widget would not update regularly.

Does anyone know if keeping all the options in preferences checked off (GPS location,etc) does it prevent the phone from sleeping properly or lower battery life? I want this app to function well but don't want it to kill my phone or keep it awake.

Elite is ad-free, and I believe has a couple of more widget choices (not sure on this).

I use weatherbug elite and it's fine. You can amend the update interval so that it's not constantly using the data link. You can't set it to purely manual update, unfortunately, but I've got it to update every 6 hours, which is the maximum. and of course it updates manually if I want it to.

No problem with phone sleeping or battery level at all.

I've never had any battery problems with Elite. I use Beautiful Home for my weather widget, and I just click the Weatherbug icon any time I want to view detailed info, and it auto-refreshes everything. This way I just put the refresh interval to the max so I only really refresh when I need to.
