webcam on android box (help)

Lurker
Well, i'm not sure if this is the right place for this question, but i'm kinda desperate:

i've been search a lot for a solution for my problem with a webcam,
i have 3 and 2 android phones, problem is, every single tutorial and solution for
"webcam" and "android" in the same sentence is all about using and android phone as a webcam for the PC, i just want to figure out a way to use one android phone or a webcam to use on a Android tv box, mine is Media Center Metronic Ilusion, with Android 4.0.3. I've tried droidcam but realised tht all tutorials were PC > Phone, also tried lots of other app for the android box, none worked.

The box had a webcam, not built-in, is a microsoft (lifecam, most likely) works
but it's like 2mp, the android box works in wifi, all the walls between the router and the box, obviously doesn't help.

We tried one other, worked but still very low MP, I pluged in a logitech cam but that one was only recognised as a new USB device, no image at all.

Also tried with my latest samsung smart phone (have 2) i thought that since the smart phone is smart and uses android 2.3 or something via USB could work easily, but no luck. The Metronic box recognises the USB but nothing more, and the skype does not have settings for webcams, at least the one that came with the box, don't no if i have to updated it.

Anyways, could someone help me with this, witch webcam works on android OS, and on using android phones as webcams with android tv box.

need help.
