Help Weird, hard to read font appears in P

Hi. An unusual font has started to appear on my phone. It is almost impossible to read - it looks like this (see pic). Any advice is most welcome. Appears in dialogue boxes, sub-headers etc

I had Microsoft Launcher but I was not using it

That's an unrelated question, so better in it's own thread rather than distracting from someone else's problem.
(The answer is that many people have. I don't use it myself)

I've not seen that font on my Pixel either. Does it appear in a specific app?
