Help weird icon just showed up

Can anyone tell me what the device with a check mark in the top left corner means?

Which device is it? Looks like a Nexus of some sort?

Have you just downloaded a system update, but not rebooted to update?

Sorry its a Galaxy S5. Just magically showed up the other day.

Ok, thanks. I'll move this to the Galaxy S5 forum, the guys there should have a better idea what it is.

Pretty positive it's something to do with a system update though, it looks very familiar to the icon I get on my Nexus 7 when there's an update available/downloaded.

Might be worth seeing if there's one available via Settings -> About Phone or Kies?

Just scroll down the status bar, and it should give you some info under that Icon, but it does looks like a system update as EP mentioned

I have two S5s and can't remember ever seeing that particular icon.
Pulling down the Notification Panel always lists what is going on. You should see something there telling you something.

To see what that is "really about" you click on that particular notification and it will go to the app that is handling that with more information.
