Weird notification

One day maybe a month ago after having my phone for several months I started getting an old Facebook notification sound once or twice a day. When this happens there is no real notification in the notification bar or anywhere else I can find on my phone. If I mute my phone there is still a vibration in place of the random sound that accompanies it when the sound is on. I went through all of my notification settings, uninstalled my facebook and messenger app, and logged out of facebook on chrome and still get this weird notification. It seems like a virus when I search for information on this on Google but I dont visit any weird websites or install any sketchy apps and I even tried getting the most legit looking virus scanner that didnt detect anything. I'm sick of not knowing what this random almost creepy notification is and my phone embarrassingly vibrating when all sound and vibrations are turned off at random times. Does anyone know what this could be or how I could fix it? Or has anyone at least heard of something like this??

It's unlikely to be malware (a "virus" is a specific class of malware, and in fact there aren't any Android viruses: it's trojans you mainly need to watch for). These things are much rarer than you'd think from the web, you say yourself you've not indulged in risky behaviour, and what sort of malware author would announce the presence of their malware this way?

I once had an inexplicable notification at random times for several weeks, and it turned out to be a system monitoring app I had installed that had a setting to notify me if the battery temperature exceeded a certain threshold. As this was a default, rather than something I'd set myself, I knew nothing about this setting and it only made a sound, no indicator in the notification bar. I'm not saying it's the same thing, just giving that as an example of how this could happen with nothing malicious going on. And I only found it by going through that specific app's settings and spotting this option in there.
