I have been having an occasional problem with K9 Email, showing a couple of errors due to invalid recipients on an email I started to write but did not finish. So when I closed the app, the unfinished email was put into the drafts folder. Later I went back into my K9 Email, I finished the email, corrected the recipients list and sent the email.
So about an hour or so later I see messages in my errors folder. And I see like 5 or more attempts to send mail to undeliverable recipients. I deleted all of these errors numerous times over the past couple of weeks. I was certain to look in the outbox, drafts and deleted items and be sure the message wasn't still on my account.
Well this morning I wake up and there is like 27 failed messages about the same email, having failed to deliver to the same recipients. So I'm thinking WTF. And my phone is quite warm as well. So I decide to just uninstall the K9 Email. Simple enough, I'm thinking. So I deleted the app on my phone, delete the app from backup on the SD Card, Using ASTRO. And bam all of my Icons are gone from all seven home screens on my phone...
So now I'm really wondering WTF just happened? Well I rebooted thinking I was probably going to have to manually reinstall all of the apps, and when the phone finished restarting everything was back.
Has anyone had these similar events happen on their phone?
