Help Weird Samsung Galaxy S5 Problem.

Callum

Lurker
So I was using my samsung galaxy S5 fine earlier today, then when it got to lunch time I went to use my phone and It had turned off, I have tried everything but now when I press or hold the Lock Button the LED at the top of the device flashes and I can't find a way to get the phone on. I have been told to never open the phone because it will make my warranty void too.

If any of this sounds familiar please help me out! Thanks.

At this point I wouldn't start taking things apart either! Try to see if you can "jump start" it by plugging it into a PC, or by using a wall charger or portable power bank if you have one. Batteries can be strange at times, and if it's Samsung it doesn't surprise me at all, lol.

You can remove the back cover and take the battery out for a minute or two, then put it back and try the phone again. The battery pull might be enough to reset it and doing so will NOT affect your warranty. The cover and battery are intended to be removable by the user, just don't try taking it apart any further than that.
If it still doesn't work after a battery pull and plugging into a charger, the phone may need service.

You may have inadvertently turned your screen brightness way down. This has happened in my pocket before and I swear you can't tell if your phone is on or not. Especially outside or in a bright room!

Talk about something you would never think of!! Kind of like the old joke about calling the TV repair guy and having him come out and plug in the TV!! Great call dude!
