Weird thing I found with this phone and the Xbox One

Hey guys I found some weird thing. I powered off my phone, plug it into my Xb1 and it says firmware update available on the screen. It also said I was rooted. I quickly removed the battery thinking my phone would get damaged if I proceeded further. If you guys have tried or seen this let me know.

(I'm not responsible if you proceed through with the update and your phone gets affected)

I have heard of this...just don't update it will kill root.

This is happened to me when the battery was completely dead and I was trying to charge it. I used the same cable from the Xbox One however it was plugged into the wall. If the battery still has some life, i dont get the Firmware notice. Otherwise it will charge fine, though i have to pull the battery before i use it.
