Weird volume swelling problem

Hi All,

Searched the boards and haven't found anything similar to this problem i'm encountering.

I recently got this Samsung Galaxy W and just came across this problem.

I just added some music on an old MicroSD card I had lying around.

The phone detects all the music in the card fine but i noticed that on some songs, there is this very faint, but noticeable, volume swell. I would describe it as a smooth drop in volume (around 5% i guess) followed by a smooth increase to the songs original volume. I also noticed this only affects the guitars and bass parts in the songs. Not so much on the vocals. Very weird.

I tried copying some of the problematic songs to the phone memory thinking its a memory card issue. Same thing. I get the same volume swell problem.

Anybody on this?

Thanks to anyone who can help out.

P.S. Im using the stock music app that comes with the phone by the way.

Me again. Tried a couple of different music players. Strange but the problem is non existent on the other players.

Could it be a dynamic range issue? Im thinking that the stock player isn't capable of handling too much dynamic range. I noticed it only happens during big bass and guitar breakdowns in a song.
