we're is the root folder stored on android?

Hello all! well I was playing with my phone and going through the my file manager when I noticed a folder called internal root. out of curiosity is it stored in the sd card or the internal memory? also if I were to format my sd card and internal memory via cwm or factory reset would it still be there or would it be deleted along with everything else. thanks! also I hope I posted this in the right place

What was the path for the "internal root" folder? i.e. /storage/sdcard/rootfolder ?
What were the contents of the folder?
What device do you have? LG Optimus Elite?
What rom are you on, if any? Cm9?

oh my bad the folder is called device root not internal root and the path is called explorer, then device. yes I am running cm9 and LG optimus elite.lucky guess? oh and the root folder inside device root gives me and error that it could not open the contents of the folder and says it's maybe because I do not have enough permission.

I just looked at your other posts and saw you posted in that device forum before
So does is the path like this? /explorer/device/device root
If so, then it is not on your sd card per se. I am not familiar with your device. some internal storage on devices list as sd card, and the external storage is listed as exsdcard.

I can, or someone can, move this to your device forum so that others with your device can help you out more than I can. I'm not sure I can provide a definitive answer for you
