What app is this notification icon?

Pull down the notifications shade on the phone, and it should show what app or service it is. Although it looks like some messaging app, or SMS received.
I dont have access to it. I got a screen shot and that was on notification bar. It's a samsung galaxy S8+ . And Verizon is the carrier. I know that isnt the icon for regular text messages on the phone. I need to find out if some1 knows which messaging app that icon is for...Thank You for replying tho...

Different people use different apps for SMS. That doesn't mean anything, it's still SMS. So why do you care what app it is?
Because it's not the messaging app that the Verizon service that's on the phone. Why would 'people' use another messaging app in addition to the original one offered threw their phone service (verizon) . And be hiding it from their fiancee ? ....THATS WHY I CARE AND WAS ASKING IF ANYONE KNEW WHICH 'MESSAGING APP' THIS SPECIFIC NOTIFICATION IS FOR....Thank You!
Because other apps may have features they like better, or because it's easier to use, or...for a million other reasons. The Play Store is loaded with apps that are alternatives to those that come pre-installed--and hundreds of millions of people use them.
It's understandable that you're upset, but if your fiance is hiding things from you, you may have much bigger problems than we can help you with on an Android board. Maybe it's time for a heart-to-heart talk with your fiance. He may have a perfectly reasonable explanation.

I just wanted to know if anyone knew what messaging app that notification icon is for...That's all...And that reply was inference to other people and their remarks about my post/question....Anyone that might have any idea that would be helpful...IF NOT then that's fine, no reason to write if not answering the question at hand ....opinions not needed. Yes, but here's the problem: there are millions of apps, and even more millions of app icons. The odds of identifying a rather generic, white, messaging-looking icon are pretty remote.
I recently identified an unknown icon for another person, but it gave me something to go on, i.e., it was red, heart-shaped, and had "D-DAY" written on it.
Do you see the difference?
Plus, we've jumped to the conclusion that yours is an SMS app--but maybe it isn't. That makes searching even harder.

I have saw and heard scuttle but about it snd even stopped into a couple of Metro PCS . STORES AND INQUIRED ABOUT IT !! BUT HAVE ONLY GOT DIFFERENT OPINIONS ABOUT IT FROM ALL IVE ASKED !!! Sorry !!
