Im searching for a good security app for my device (Note 3). There are many great apps and I did some research and narrowed down my list to 3 apps... Avast, CM Security and 360 Security. What do you think is the best option?

The best antivirus product for android is Kaspersky Internet Security (the paid version and not the free one). I have been using it previously on my Galaxy Note 3 and now I have installed it on my Galaxy Note 4 as well. I think it is a great app to go with if you are concerned about your android's security. Complete peace of mind and a must have app if you transact on your android device.

Recently I came across this new security app called "Trustlook Mobile Security". The company seems to be new but have 10 million downloads in play store! Anyone have any experience with it? Know why it's so popular?

@Milly Cruz Can you post the full URLs please, rather than the anonymous shortened ones, I always consider those to be a great security risk, clicking on strange URLs and not knowing where they go.

Get a mod's attention on it I think. :thumbsupdroid:

Myself, I just don't click shortened anonymous URLs, period. could be pr0n or malicious or something.
Security tip for rooters with access to Xposed -

Get the CrappaLinks module.

Unshortens the url, let's you study it, option to confirm before proceeding.

Some turn out to be the Play Store or g+ or something else that you'll probably be OK with.

But others are trapped and you can stop and decide to look them up first using your usual sleuthing skills in a separate browser window of your choosing - and then go back and proceed or not.

One of my favorite security additions - CrappaLinks.

Pro forum tip - when someone says, "click 'Here' to see..." - quote the post, you get to look at the real link first, and you can just discard the quoted draft if you're not interested.

Of course, I finally ran into a hilarious exception thinking I was being clever - turned out one guy was actually linking to Nokia's Here app (navigation) in the Play Store. :D

But better safe than sorry. ;)
